The Women Service Institute, Nepal (WSI-Nepal) is a prominent non-governmental national organization dedicated to empowering women, youth, and marginalized communities. Established to address societal inequalities, WSI-Nepal works through innovative programs, impactful policy interventions, and grassroots initiatives. Backed by an experienced, professional, inclusive, and vibrant team, WSI-Nepal is committed to transforming lives and fostering equitable opportunities for all in Nepal.

WSI-Nepal adopts a partnership-driven approach to empower women and girls, transforming their lives for a just and equitable society.

Objectives

WSI-Nepal supports the Government of Nepal in empowering and mainstreaming women, youth, and marginalized communities. Its specific objectives include:

  • To create a common and safe platform for youth, women and marginalized to discuss on common
  • To review progress on women’s education, health, empowerment and leadership through different mechanism i.e. CEDAW, VNR, Beijing +5 Reporting.
  • To conduct research based activities focusing on the political, social, financial, cultural and ecological spectrum.
  • To conduct youth, women and marginalized centric pro- grams focusing on legal consultation, election process, leadership development, inclusion etc.
  • To organize entrepreneurship, digital literacy and capacity-building programs,
  • To advocate for the meaningful engagement of women, youth, and marginalized groups in political and social movement along with policy making process
  • To sensitize the issues such as climate action, disaster, SDGs, human rights, democracy, policy making process 

Working Areas Advocacy based on Evidence

  • Policy advocacy in concern agendas based on evidence
  • Research based activities focusing on human rights, democracy and sustainable development goals and validation from stakeholders
  • Initiatives linked to leadership development of women, youth and marginalized in diverse sectors such as political, financial, cultural, social leadership
  • Sensitizing the issue of climate action, gender, intersectionality, inclusion and social justice

Engagement through Movement and Networking Building

  • Initiatives to strengthen the roles of civil societies to create impact through coalition building among multiparty youth, student and women through workshops, seminars, campaigns
  • Building network of multi-professional women for collective efforts while creating the impact in the communities
  • Established Intersectional Advocacy Group to regular advocacy in concerned issues.
